About Us

30 years ago, after leaving school and working for an local agricultural contractor and then a local agricultural dealership, Mike Stannard found the business which is today called M Construction Services.

The company based at Oakley Diss started life as Chapman & Stannard, following the retirement of Mr Chapman, Mike was joined by Terry Manning and company changed its name to Construction Services.

After the retirement of Terry, Mike added M to the company to give us the current name of M.Construction Services

Agricultural buildings have always been at the heart of the company, with slurry systems, grain handling equipment and mill mix adding to the companies portfolio of products.

During the past 30 years the company has remained at Oakley, moving about half a mile 6 years ago when the original yard was sold for development.

In November 2008 Mike decided it was his time to slow down, and the company was sold to Andrew Buesnel. The name stays the same, the location is still Oakley and all the staff have remained with the company.

Mike is not allowed disappear  totally and remains with the company on a part time basis, providing valuable support to Andrew.

Andrew background is based in agriculture, after leaving Moulton Collage Andrew worked on a number of agricultural units in central and eastern England, gaining experience with arable and livestock enterprises.

Andrew then joined a large tractor dealer covering East Anglia, before deciding to specialize in grain handling and storage. After running the UK Grain Handling division for Kongskilde for a number of years, Andrew joined Chief Industries, responsible for Silo sales in UK, Europe and North Africa.

In more recent years Andrew was with BDC Systems supplying grain handling equipment and systems to farmers and commercial units through UK dealers.

As well as the base at Diss, the company now has a sales and accounts office run by Sarah and located just outside Norwich.
